We recommend arriving at the Hollis terminal by 7:00 AM. 🕖 Boarding can be hectic, so the earlier you arrive, the easier it will be to get your tickets, load your luggage, and grab the perfect seat on the ferry. ⏳ We understand that weather and road conditions can affect your travel, so be sure to plan ahead and factor those in.
⏰ Please note: Late arrivals may be turned away, so don’t cut it too close! We want everyone to have a smooth journey!

🚗 Here’s what to expect! You’ll pull into our vehicle loading lane, where an agent will check you in. Be prepared to provide ID for all adults (18+) in the vehicle and confirm the names of any children (17 and under) traveling with you.
🆔 A valid state driver’s license is required for anyone driving a vehicle on board. Accepted IDs for passengers include:
- State ID/Driver’s License
- TWIC
- Photo Tribal ID
- School/University ID
- Employee Photo ID
- Merchant Mariner’s ID
- Passport/Passport Card
- Armed Forces ID Card
Make sure to have your documents ready for a smooth boarding experience! 🛳️
Once you’re checked in, the agent at the window will direct you to the correct parking lane. When it’s time to load, our Lot Deckhands will guide you down to the vessel. Crew members may ask you to turn off your headlights to prevent blinding others during loading.
Please listen and comply with all crew instructions as they direct you to your parking spot on the ferry. Safety first! 🚢

🧳 Need help with luggage or fish boxes? We’ve got you covered! Our terminals have multiple carts available to make moving your belongings easier. However, access is limited, so please be courteous and share them with fellow passengers. 🤝 A little kindness goes a long way—thank you for helping keep everything running smoothly!

🧳 After checking in with the Purser, here’s what to do next: Once you’ve got your tickets and ID checked, head outside to load your luggage onto the luggage truck. For walk-on passengers, please note that there is a luggage limit of 100 lbs. If you’re traveling with lots of fish boxes, they may be placed in a crate on our forklift for safe transport.
🚢 On a full ferry, the luggage truck can fill up quickly, and you may be directed to leave your luggage on the car deck. Don’t worry—our crew will guide you to the right spot! If you’re traveling with firearms, you’ll be directed to the Bosun’s Locker for secure storage.
Follow the crew’s instructions, and you’ll be all set for a smooth ride! 🎣🛳️

🛳️ Ready for your relaxing 3-hour ride? With your luggage sorted, follow the bear footprints down to the ramp. Walk through the tunnel and onto the ferry. Our ferries are equipped with ADA elevators as well as stairs, so you can easily access the passenger deck and find your seats.
🚫 Please remember:
- No seat saving allowed. Leaving your luggage to reserve seats and moving to other areas of the vessel is prohibited to ensure everyone has a comfortable place to sit.
- Seating in the Galley is for dining only. Once you’ve finished your meal, please move to another part of the vessel so other passengers can enjoy breakfast with OUR T.E.A.M. Galley.

🛳️ As we approach Ketchikan: About 15 minutes before arrival, the Captain will make an announcement over the speaker. Use this time to ensure that everything in your area is picked up and that all of your belongings are with you.
🚗 If your vehicle is parked in front of the door, a Crew Member will locate you and guide you down to the car deck to prepare for arrival.

📍 Arriving in Ketchikan? Our terminal is located at 3501 Tongass Ave, Ketchikan, AK, right across the street from the Landing Hotel. Follow the signs to the small parking area near the terminal building.
🚢 We’re just 0.5 miles from the Ketchikan Airport Ferry, and we share the terminal with the Alaska Marine Highway, so look for signs to guide you.
