Another Awesome Trip!

As a resident of Prince of Wales, we rely on the IFA more than one would think. We need it to go to Ketchikan or medical appointments or even just to go to Walmart. My trip this time was for medical and shopping reasons. Might as well combine the two. But seriously, the service on the IFA is always wonderful and the scenery can't be described properly in pictures or words!

Awesome Trip, POW to Ketchikan

It is such a beautiful trip between POW and Ketchikan. It’s really a million dollar experience I feel for paying so little. I have utilized many fairies in the past in Alaska, and have used Inter Island Ferry more than a dozen times and I have never been let down. They are always on time or early, which means a lot when you’re booking the rest of your trip, utilizing planes, trains, and automobiles!

Delightful surprise

We weren’t too sure about taking a Ferry from Prince of Wales island to Ketchikan, so are super happy we did it. It was a relaxing trip that providing food options, along with spectacular views and whales!! Dozens and dozens of whales. Of course they were just waiting for a sea lion snack to fall off their little rock, but it was really awesome!

Great scenic ride

Such a beautiful scenic ride from Prince Wales Island to Ketchikan. It was very relaxing and comfortable as well. I would highly recommend taking the time to enjoy this ride while visiting Alaska. Everywhere you look there is wildlife, eagles, whales, sea lions, otters, ducks and seagulls.

Another great trip. As always the crew was more than accommodating. We had 2 vehicles my husband was not feeling well at loading time and they went out of their way to make the trip happen. Great crew and great trip. Thanks Much!

POW 2022

The entire 3 hour journey was a joy. The ferry, the staff, the food, the cleanliness of the vessel, the scenery! All was so wonderful. Such a wonderful mode of travel to get from Ketchikan to Hollis and back again. Thank you Inter-Island Ferry.

Highly Recommend this Tour

The staff was outstanding. The food was cooked to order and delicious! I will definitely use this service anytime I travel to POW Island. So calm and peaceful with outstanding views. The trip was 3 hours but it seemed much shorter because of all the things to eat and the interactions with my fellow passengers. Alaska is the best state!

As a 45 year resident of SE Alaska, I took the ferry to POW (both directions) to teach a class in Craig on marine safety for commercial fishermen and locals. Your ferry system works! It was reliable, reasonable cost, well managed, on time, clean, had courteous/helpful staff and the food was hot and made to order. Layover night ferry was home based in Hollis and staff were hardworking, focused, friendly, dedicated, and the ferry looked to be well maintained and in good working order. You even have an alternative ferry in case of scheduled or unscheduled work. What a good concept! It worked just like a ferry system is supposed to work. Congratulations on your efforts to make this a sustainable, reliable, low risk, pleasurable travel experience. Liked the fact that service (eg. car rental etc) were available at both ends of the ferry route also. Well done folks! Highly recommend it to anyone traveling to POW!
