Let the Inter-Island Ferry Authority cruise you aboard our delightfully comfortable passenger / vehicle ferries to the intimate Alaska island destinations of Prince of Wales Island and Ketchikan that offer magnificent scenery and unlimited recreation opportunities! You will find that wildlife sightings are frequent, sport fishing is superb, scenic wonders abound and local cultures flourish.
The Inter-Island Ferry Authority offers daily year-round passenger and vehicle service between our Ketchikan and Hollis ports, and we sail every day except Thanksgiving & Christmas. Ketchikan is located on Revillagigedo Island, and Hollis is located on Prince of Wales Island. The one-way ferry ride is 36 miles long and the run time of each sailing is 3 hours. The round trip originates from Prince of Wales (Hollis) each morning at 8:00AM and leaves Ketchikan at 3:30PM each afternoon. Hollis connects to all major towns on the island by road, and Ketchikan is Alaska’s southern-most city in Southeastern Alaska. For your comfort, the M/V Stikine and M/V Prince of Wales have an observation lounge with reclining chairs, reading room, café, children’s play area and solarium.
